University of Dallas Reviews
Rating 3.79 out of 5 535 reviews
Rating 5 out of 5
The University of Dallas has a vibrant student life paired with a true love of learning that I have not witnessed anywhere else. The professors are incredible: they encourage independent thinking, guide students on their paths toward increased knowledge, and are very accessible to those who need help. The students enjoy engaging in great discussions with each other and support each other in their academic growth and spiritual growth. One of the University of Dallas' weaknesses is campus food and housing. The dorms are outdated, and they need more attention. The cafeteria on campus does not have a good selection of food, and its quality and taste are frowned upon by most students.

I think the academics at the University of Dallas are great. I think the university probably needs to work of getting the word out and becoming a better-known university outside of just the DFW area and Catholic circles (a lot of people confuse it for UT Dallas). It is very much a humanities school. The Rome program they have is difficult, but it is an incredible experience. The biggest issues I've run into here are the food and the dorms. The food sucks but it's Aramark, just like almost every other college campus in the US. There is some major work that needs to be done to maintain a lot of the dorms. Washers/dryers and ac go out all the time, at least in the traditional dorms. Huge mold problem as well.

While I was not the typical University of Dallas student, I still found my experience to be rewarding and do not regret choosing something a little outside of my comfort zone. Not every professor was the best, once I found my niche and chose my people, everything fell into place. Overall I feel my academic life was fully satisfied, whereas socially there could have been some improvment.
