Does Sierra-at-Tahoe drug test? ›

Drug Testing

Sierra-At-Tahoe has a Zero Tolerance policy, and requires that employees submit a drug test if any of the following occur: You are involved in an incident which A) Requires you to seek medical treatment from a hospital or medical facility OR B) Causes property damage of more than $500.

“We want to make it as easy as possible for beginners to learn the sport, and to have an incredible experience on the mountain.” Sierra-at-Tahoe has long been recognized as the place to learn. Easy Street, Sierra's lauded beginner terrain, is the perfect learning playground.

Booth Creek Ski Resorts purchased Sierra-at-Tahoe in 1996. CNL Lifestyle acquired Sierra-at-Tahoe and Northstar California from Booth Creek in 2007. Sierra-at-Tahoe was among 15 resorts sold by CNL to Och-Ziff Capital Management in 2016. Booth Creek continues to operate Sierra-at-Tahoe.

The Sprock family was successful in operating the resort until 1993 when the resort was sold to Fibreboard and the resorts name changed from Sierra Ski Ranch to Sierra-at-Tahoe Resort.

One of the slow zones is Sugar N' Spice, a 2.5 mile beginner run that starts at the very top of the mountain, allowing beginner skiers and riders to access the mountain via Grandview Express and take in the spectacular views from the top.

At day's end, the short walk to the car will be a welcome treat that even the fittest quadriceps will appreciate after a full day on the slopes. Plus, all our parking in our lots at Sierra for our guest, besides Preferred Parking, is FREE!

The 46 runs at Sierra-at-Tahoe Ski Resort break out as follows: 25% beginner, 50% intermediate and 25% advanced. All these are serviced by 14 chairlifts, including 3 high-speed quads: Easy Rider, West Bowl Express and Grandview. With a top elevation of 8,852 feet, the resort offers 2,212 feet of vertical drop.

Beginners/First-Time Skiers: Easy Street and the magic carpet area provide a gentle introduction. Intermediates: Explore the long cruisers like Sugar 'n Spice and Dynamite for a thrilling experience.

The resort has 4,800 acres (1,900 ha) within its permit area, with approximately 33% currently developed for skiing, boasting the highest elevation of the Lake Tahoe area resorts with a peak elevation of 10,067 ft (3,068 m), and a peak lift-service elevation of 10,040 ft (3,060 m).

They do a urine test pre-hire.

Common drugs tested for in a hair sample include methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana, opioids, and PCP. A sample of 100 strands of hair cut close to the scalp is collected from the employee from an unnoticeable area of the head.

While employers are generally not required by law to drug test candidates during the hiring process or to conduct random drug testing, certain types of businesses or those within specific industries may be mandated by drug testing laws to require pre-employment drug screenings.
