Shannon Spake is an NFL reporter from Florida who used to host NASCAR for Fox Sports. A seasoned broadcaster, Spake transitioned to FOX Sports, covering the sidelines for top college football and basketball teams in 2016. She marked her NFL debut in the Jan. 1, 2017, Seattle/San Francisco game.

Despite undergoing corrective Scoliosis surgery at age 13, she actively participates in endurance sports.

She has completed two full marathons, participated in five 70.3 Ironman events, and numerous shorter-distance triathlons. Swimming competitively throughout high school and college, Spake earned a scholarship to Broward College before transferring to FAU to finish her degree.

From 2007 to 2014, Shannon Spake was a NASCAR pit reporter, contributing to NASCAR Countdown and NASCAR Now. In 2008, she worked full-time as a pit reporter for ESPN’s nationwide coverage. She continued until ESPN lost broadcast rights to NBC Sports in 2015.

On August 13, 2013, she signed a multi-year contract extension with ESPN. Before joining ESPN, Spake worked at Speed Channel where her work was limited to co-hosting “NASCAR Nation” with its second version. She co-hosted Back Seat Drivers, a talk show which is an Australia-based television program that was aired on television in 2014.

Her previous on-air job was at WCCB in North Carolina and Carolina Sports and Entertainment Television. Before her on-air reporting, Spake worked with Nickelodeon, CBS, and as a production assistant for MTV.

On July 6, 2016, it was announced that Spake would join Fox as a sideline reporter for college football and basketball broadcasts. She served as a pit road reporter for NASCAR, a contributor for NASCAR Race Hub, and a sideline reporter for NFL broadcasts.

On February 13, 2017, she was named the new host of NASCAR Race Hub, working alongside Adam Alexander. Additionally, she hosted NASCAR RaceDay on weekends. In 2017, she lent her voice to Pixar Film Cars 3.
