We can all agree that homelessness is an epidemic. As a society we've been taught that we can never solve the problem, and we should just accept that it's our reality. Well, what if we could live in different reality: one where homelessness CAN be solved. The solution begins when we all decide to work together and start to exchange respective ideas and opinions. Curious? I welcome anyone to message me and help facilitate this conversation.

Over the last decade, on average, 44,000 children and young people presented alone for specialist homelessness support services every year. 3 in 5 were repeat service users, and 31% were First Nations young people, despite First Nations people only making up just over 3% of our population. These figures are an important wake-up call for us all. In a country as wealthy as Australia, why are so many children and young people at risk of or experiencing homelessness? How do we create pathways out of homelessness toward the life each young person aspires to?Find out more about Youth Foyers and our plan to grow their reach and impact here: https://ow.ly/PNIl50QbPsx Meaghan Scanlon MP #YouthHomelessness #PathwaysOutOfHomelessness #YouthFoyers #HomelessnessAwareness #EndYouthHomelessness
