Bizee (formerly Incfile) is an online legal services platform that helps you register your business entity with your state. You can use Bizee to form a limited liability company (LLC), S corporation, C corporation or nonprofit.
Bizee also offers legal support through its registered agent, business licensing and trademark registration services, among other tools.
Bizee is best for businesses that:
Want simple, online incorporation services. Once you provide the required information about your company, Bizee handles the entire incorporation process; it confirms that your business name is available, creates your articles of organization and files them with the governing agency in your state.
Want a low-cost option. You only have to pay the cost of your state’s filing fees to incorporate your business through Bizee. If you want additional services, you can add them to your package or purchase them a la carte without having to pay a monthly or annual fee.
Don’t need ongoing legal services or advice. Although Bizee’s a la carte services are great for affordability, Bizee may not be the best option if you want ongoing assistance. Unlike some competitors, Bizee does not offer subscription services for ongoing compliance or direct legal advice.
Bizee pricing and services
Bizee offers incorporation services for LLCs, S-corps, C-corps and nonprofits. It does not offer registration services, however, for sole proprietorships, general partnerships or limited partnerships.

It’s important to note that filing fees can vary based on your location and business entity type. Kentucky, for example, has the cheapest filing fee for LLCs, at $40, whereas Massachusetts has the most expensive, at $520. To form an S-corp in Massachusetts, however, it's only $265; in Kentucky, it's $55.

Bizee allows you to add premium services to its Silver and Gold packages (for additional fees) or purchase them a la carte. Outside of its packages, the company also offers a range of other a la carte services, including business licensing, business taxes, trademark registration and doing business as (DBA) filings, among others.
Where Bizee stands out
Free incorporation services
If you’re looking to outsource your incorporation needs, you can use Bizee and only pay the cost of your state’s filing fees. You’ll also receive a free business tax consultation, unlimited business name searches and free registered agent services for one year. After the first year, Bizee charges $119 annually for this service, which is cheaper than competitors like ZenBusiness and Swyft Filings (both charge $199 per year).
Affordable add-ons
Bizee gives you the option to add services to your packages, or purchase them a la carte. Again, Bizee offers many of these services at a lower cost than competitors. To get an EIN, for example, Bizee charges $70, whereas ZenBusiness charges $99 and Swyft Filings and LegalZoom charge $79. Similarly, you’ll only pay $40 to add an LLC operating agreement to Bizee’s free Silver package, whereas it will cost $99 to add it to LegalZoom's or ZenBusiness’s equivalent packages.
In addition to its paid add-ons, Bizee also offers a free resource center with a variety of tools and information. You can find a do-it-yourself email course, guides on starting a business and a business name search tool, among other resources.
Where Bizee falls short
Limited range of business services
Most of Bizee’s services are focused on starting and registering a business. Although the company does offer some other options, including business taxes and trademark registration, you may find that competitors have a broader range of legal or additional business services.
For example, ZenBusiness offers an invoice and payment platform, as well as a business bank account. LegalZoom, on the other hand, provides a wider range of intellectual property services, such as copyright registration and provisional patent applications.
And unlike some online legal services platforms, Bizee does not provide any access to one-time or ongoing legal advice. LegalZoom, on the other hand, offers subscription packages that give you direct access to a business attorney. Rocket Lawyer has a similar subscription service — and one of its packages includes a free business registration (plus state fees).

Alternatives to Bizee
ZenBusiness
ZenBusiness provides similar services to Bizee, but it may be a better option for you, depending on your needs. For example, both companies charge $199 (plus state filing fees) for their second tier incorporation plans, but ZenBusiness includes expedited filing. To get expedited filing with Bizee’s Gold plan, you’ll need to pay an additional $50.
ZenBusiness also offers a worry-free compliance subscription plan for $199 per year, which helps you stay up to date with your LLC’s requirements. This subscription includes annual report filings, as well as up to two business amendments per year.
Although Bizee’s packages include compliance notifications, the company doesn’t offer an equivalent to ZenBusiness's compliance subscription plan. You can purchase annual report or business amendment services with Bizee, but you’ll need to pay a $99 fee (plus state fees) each time.
LegalZoom
If you want direct access to a business attorney, or a wider range of legal services, LegalZoom is a good alternative to Bizee.
With LegalZoom’s business legal plans, you receive unlimited 30-minute attorney consultations, legal document review (up to 10 pages), access to a library of over 150 legal forms, and one copyright registration per month, among other features. LegalZoom also offers services such as a bookkeeping platform, patent assistance and tax preparation.
And although you’ll pay more for LegalZoom’s higher-tier LLC registration plans, they’ll include premium features such as a consultation with a business insurance agent, one-year access to any of the company’s legal forms and online eSignature, as well as customer support via email, chat or phone seven days a week. Plus, all of LegalZoom’s incorporation plans include free access to create your business website through Wix.
